Traffic Concerns

Families are encouraged to park in the designated Parking Zones (See Parking Map) when walking students into the school. We would like to remind families that parking in the Drop off Zone is not permitted in the morning. The Drop Off Zone is intended for students to exit the vehicle and walk to school independently. It is not a parking area for parents who wish to accompany their child on foot. Please help teach your child to cross the roads safely and use the marked crosswalks. U-turning in front of the school is not permitted. It is also important to remember that the parking lot is not for parent use and that families should walk behind the shed and garbage containers, then along the sidewalk to enter the front of the building. Please do not cut through the parking lot.

Calgary Bylaw has issued verbal warnings to those parents who have parked too close to marked crosswalks and fire hydrants. They have notified us that they will be ticketing in future. All parking infractions in school zones are subject to a minimum $50 fine.
