Ron Southern is home to a wonderfully diverse community. Our students speak over 45 different languages at home, and more than 150 of them were born outside of Canada! We celebrate this uniqueness and love learning about each other’s cultures. 

This year, we're excited to introduce a new initiative: the Culture Club! This club is open to Grade 3 to 6 students and provides a chance for them to create presentations and activities that highlight our cultural diversity. 

Currently, the Culture Club is preparing a presentation on Diwali, which will be shared with all classrooms. If you know of any festivals or events that the Culture Club should learn about, please email Ms. Miller at mimmiller@cbe.ab.ca. 

We want to thank our teachers for their dedication in volunteering their time to provide enriching experiences for our students. In October, we welcomed several new clubs, including Baton, Choir, Art, and Intramurals. These clubs offer fantastic opportunities for our students to explore their interests and develop new skills!
