At the CBE, we are committed to involving stakeholders in decisions that affect them. Today during our School Council meeting we will be gathering feedback that may be considered in making future school planning decisions on topics such as school fees and the school development plan. We encourage all families to attend this online meeting, starting at 6:15pm (click here for link), so that you can share your perspectives and ideas. If you are unable to attend, you can share your thoughts through our online survey until Feb 21, 2024.
Every February, people across Canada participate in Black History Month events and festivities that honour the legacy of Black people in Canada and their communities.
The City of Calgary’s theme this year is "Black Resistance." The theme explores how Black people have resisted historical and ongoing systemic oppression. The national theme is “Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build”. This theme celebrates the rich past and present contributions and accomplishments of Black people in Canada, while aspiring to embrace new opportunities for the future.
