One of the ways teachers grow as professionals is leveraging the expertise of others.  This year we are implementing the Collaborative Response Model (CRM) which is a model that most schools in the Calgary Board of Education are using. Collaborative Response is about effective inclusion of all students and about the professional collaboration that is needed to make that happen. To support our work with student well-being at Ron Southern we are focused on the social-emotional learning skills (SELs) for students which include:  

  • self-awareness 
  • self-management 
  • social awareness 
  • relationships skills  
  • responsible decision-making.  

We have identified key issues that pertain to the SEL skills and will utilize the CRM to build our expertise and create personalized effective strategies based on our collective wisdom.
